Designer of the USPS Lunar New Year Stamps

Designing the 12 Lunar New Year Stamps for the United States Postal Service was one of the most memorable and rewarding periods of my professional life. As well as making many friends across the US, it brought me into contact with my fellow artists in mainland China, where together we created the first joint US-China stamps issued simultaneously in both countries in 1994. Since then it has been my privilege to design the USPS stamp issued in honour of the Beijing Olympics in 2008. That is what stamps do as they circle the world they bind people together with common interests and peaceful co-operation.

Since a boy I have been fascinated and enthralled by Chinese stamps, featuring such exotic images and dramatic historical events. Now at last it has been decided to create The Brilliance of China Collection, a set of 25 sculpted Stamp Ingots featuring the most beautiful Chinese stamps ever issued. It is a wonderful way to commemorate such an important occasion, and it gives me great pleasure to introduce it to my friends and collectors in America.
